MICHAEL REDMOND

Michael Redmond – Cubmaster, Pack 80

Michael Redmond is a dedicated family man, married to Kristen since 2001. Together, they have three children: Harrison, an Eagle Scout; Charlotte; and Anderson. Kristen shares Michael’s commitment to youth programs, having served as co-manager of Somerville Girl Scout Service Unit 71 from 2016 to 2022. Although he resides in Branchburg, Michael considers himself a Somerville native, having graduated from Immaculate Conception School and Immaculata High School.

Michael has been involved with Cub Scout Pack 80 since 2011, when Harrison joined as a Tiger Cub. They moved on to Boy Scouts in 2016, and Michael returned to Pack 80 as a Den Leader in 2020, when Anderson became a Cub Scout. He has a deep love for Scouting, having earned the Arrow of Light as a youth and worked toward the Eagle Rank. He serves as both Cubmaster for Pack 80 and Scoutmaster for Troop 84, which share Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as a chartered organization. Fully trained as an adult leader in both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA, Michael is currently working on his ticket for the prestigious BSA Wood Badge. He strives to help all scouts achieve their goals.

Professionally, Michael works in Pharmaceutical Quality and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science in Predictive Analytics. His vision for Pack 80 is to reflect Somerville’s diversity, with two dens in each age group, offering every child a place to grow and thrive in Scouting.

Advancement

and Awards Chair

ANDREW TIPLADY

Andrew is the Advancement Chair for Pack 80. He has been with the Pack since 2018. His past positions include Den Leader, Assistant Cubmaster and Cubmaster.

He is also involved in his daughter's and son's troops as an Assistance Scoutmaster and Committe member, respectively.

As a youth, Andrew earned the rank of Eagle Scout and spent several summers working at summer camp. He now resides in Somerville with his wife and four children.
